We all have philosophical & practical places to which we return; in part to assure ourselves that in fact we are still on course. And even if the declared origin is my own thinking, I return to my thoughts to check myself. It is equally true that most of us have a detectable set of values that we subscribe to personally – even if you’re not religious.
It is in these ways that Process Church will strive to approach the Scriptures. Our goal will be to recognize the Bible as understandable & approachable and its principles transferable to modernity. In its pages are people… people who messed up… people who lived well… people. We will study these people and their lives in order to see ourselves, but most importantly to see the God who interacted with them and us.
This week along with the general idea of why we value the Bible, we’ll explore part of a letter that Paul wrote to one of his students named Timothy. 2 Timothy 3:16-17. He is writing to remind him of the primacy of Scripture. Let’s answer these questions to see why we define Scripture As Source…

5. What are steps we can take to make every attempt to hear what the text is really saying?

8. How does Scripture make us realize what is wrong in our lives?
